I see people doing this all the time when they try to set up a healthy plate -- not eating enough, not eating enough protein, not eating enough healthy fats, avoiding fat altogether, eating too many carbs... and the list goes on. There is so much debate on how to set up a healthy plate it's hard to pick just one. But in this post, I'm sharing my personal go-to plate template for my clients and the reasons behind them.
Chronic high cortisol levels cause a mound of problems in the body and health in general. When it comes to endocrine balance, high cortisol levels almost always cause chaos amidst the orchestra of hormonal balance. High cortisol affects blood sugar levels, the thyroid, liver, adrenals, sex hormones, mood, metabolism, and so much more. Regulating stress, and therefore cortisol, is necessary for the endocrine system, and individuals as a whole, to function optimally.
